ASU technology access

When you retire from ASU you will still be able to use some ASU technology services. If you have emeritus status you will retain access to all or most services.

Why access is restricted

ASU's technology services typically depend on educational licensing and service agreements. Generally these cover current faculty, emeritus faculty, staff and students. Most such agreements don't have options to cover non-emeritus retirees.

If you have neither emeritus faculty status nor a request for such status pending at the time of retirement, your access to most services will be discontinued as of your retirement date.

If you expect that an emeritus decision will be pending on your retirement date you can contact the Emeritus College to make sure that your pending status will preserve your ASU technology services. This should be done BEFORE your retirement date.

Note: Information about ASU licensing for retirees was supplied December 2019 and March 2022 by ASU's Manager Information Technology | Messaging & Collaboration.
