Volunteer with ASURA

ASURA is operated entirely by volunteers. There are many opportunities for you to add your skills and enthusiasm to those of other retirees in the organization.

Why volunteer?

ASURA needs you!

Volunteer with ASURA if you are a retiree who wants to:

  • Stay active and productive
  • Meet and work with other retirees
  • Contribute time and skills to the community
  • Stay affiliated with ASU and the university environment

People who take on the many tasks that are required to operate an active organization like the ASURA generally feel very rewarded both by the work itself and by the friendships that are developed or enhanced.

What are the opportunities?

You can volunteer to be a member of the Board of Directors, to serve on or chair a committee or to work in the ASURA office. Together the officers and the Board members oversee the organization. The committees and the office volunteers carry out the operations.

Explore what the various opportunities are by accessing the site menu above:

  • Board of Directors: About - Governance - Bylaws and also About - Governance - Officers and Board of Directors
  • Committees: About - Operation - Committees And Chairs - then click on the "Read about" buttons
