Parking at ASURA offices

Parking for the ASURA offices is in ASU Lots 55 and 59E.

Where to park

Park in lot 55. If there is no space there (a rare occurrence) park in Lot 59E.

Lot 55 serves all of the University Center buildings. Lot 59E is NW of the University Center complex, along the east side of Rural road, next to the Kajikawa football practice fields.

There is a fee for parking anywhere on the ASU Tempe campus. Daily and hourly parking is available via the ParkMobile or AMP apps. Follow instructions on the signage posted in the lots. Rates are posted on ASU's Parking and Transportation Services site.

Parking using permits

The ASU Gold parking permit (for emeriti and retirees) is good in Lot 55.

Those attending ASURA Board meetings may park in Lot 55 on the mornings of the meetings, i.e., on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, without paying the hourly or daily fee. ASURA pays an annual fee to make this possible. It is not necessary to register your vehicle to take advantage of this permit.

Volunteers who have frequent reason to be at the ASURA offices can park in Lots 55 and 59E at any time without paying the hourly or daily fee provided that:

  • Their vehicle has been registered as one of those using ASURA's bulk parking permits. The ASURA Financial Operations manager handles the registration.
  • There are no more than 3 of the registered vehicles parked at ASU at once. Vehicles beyond the 3rd one must pay the daily or hourly fee or be cited.

Using the loading zone

There is a loading zone outside the UNCTRB entrance that can be used for people who have a brief errand, such as dropping off books for ASURA's Book Drive. The loading zone can be used by any vehicle for a maximum of 20 minutes.

If you are bringing books, be sure to call ahead to make sure that an office volunteer is available to meet you and direct you to the bins where you can leave your donated books. And thank you!
