William Ringwalt Warner

In loving memory of Ring Warner, who died in Seattle on March 17 after a two year battle with cancer. Born in Iowa on October 2, 1940 to Ray M. Warner and Barbara W. Schrader, the family moved to Chicago where Ring grew up. Ring earned a BA in Music from Northwestern University. He served as principal double bassist with the Dallas Symphony, Phoenix Symphony, and Santa Fe Opera, as well as the Northwest Chamber Orchestra and Pacific Northwest Ballet. He taught double bass at numerous universities including ASU. He is survived by his parents, brothers, Randy (Nancy) and Rob; his wife of 40 years, Joanne; sons Jonathan (Christine) and Randy; granddaughter, Kailyn, as well as nephews and cousins.
