Vernon Edwin Shipp Jr. lived a life filled with creativity and humor. A gifted artist and educator, Ed dedicated his career to inspiring others as an art education professor at Arizona State University.

Before embarking on his teaching career, Ed played basketball at Grand Canyon University, where he was a proud member of the university's undefeated team.

Beyond his professional achievements, Ed was a man of many passions. He was a talented artist, a pilot, a devoted car enthusiast, and a lifelong football lover.

Ed is survived by his loving daughter; son-in-law; grandson; and granddaughter.

In keeping with Ed's wishes, services will be private.
