Verleen Mae Mathis Melton, 73, joined her dear parents and in-laws in heaven on January 22, 2006. She was born and raised in Kalamazoo, MI where she also met her Floridian-husband, Dwight. Verleen worked for Arizona State University for 20 years but was above all else a homemaker. She was totally devoted to Dwight, loving him more than life itself. She is survived by their 4 married children, Michael, JoAnne, Jeannine and Carol, as well as each member of their families which includes many grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved deeply. Not only is she survived by her immediate families, but also her brother Fred and sister Beverly and their dear families. She was a much loved sister-in-law and a delightful friend to many scattered across the nation.
