Sue graduated Cum Laude from Grand Valley State University and Magna Cum Laude from Eastern Michigan University.

Sue worked in the field of Career Services, working for 5 universities (including Davenport University, Aquinas College, Saint Mary's College, Grand Valley State University, and Arizona State University) during the course of her career, educating students in how to select and achieve their career goals through teaching career classes, creating and presenting workshops, educating students on the value of internships, and working with employers to meet their recruiting needs.

Celebrations of Sue's Life were held on March 11, 2022 at the StoneRidge Community Center Prescott Valley, AZ and on March 18, 2022 Winchester Chapel 209 State Street, Charlevoix, MI.
