Stephen Winter Tobey Sr., 82, passed away August 13, 2018. He received his B.S. in Chemistry from the Illinois Institute of Technology, his M.S. in Organic Chemistry, and his Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from Madison University of Wisconsin. He taught Chemistry at West Virginia Wesleyan College, Buckhannon; Purdue University, West Lafayette; Harvard University, Boston and ASU. He retired from The Dow Chemical Company in 1999 as a Research Scientist with numerous US patents, journals, and publications. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie, four children, five granddaughters, six grandsons and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother.
