Sabrina Switzer-Wareing

Sabrina Switzer-Wareing attended college at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology to be closer to her grandmother, before eventually settling in Tempe and enrolling at Arizona State University.  In1988 Sabrina graduated with degrees in Business and Theater.

After several years of family adventures, Sabrina accepted the position of theatre teacher at the Herberger Young Scholars' Academy. Teaching young actors how to hone their craft delighted Sabrina. In 2017 she was recognized as an "Outstanding Theatre Educator" and "Teacher of the Year" by the Arizona Thespian Society and featured in Spotlight Magazine for her contributions to theatre. She was employed by ASU for ten years before illness required her to step away from her position.

Sabrina is survived by her mother, her husband and two children; as well as her half-brother.

She was preceded in death by her father.

A memorial service for Sabrina was held on November 11, 2022.

Memorials can be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at givenow.lls.org.
