Rudy H. Turk, 80, of Tempe, Arizona passed away on August 14, 2007. Rudy was born on June 24, 1927, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. An avid reader, historian and artist, Rudy found a career, joy and expression in the arts. Rudy retired after 25 years as the Director of the Art Museum at Arizona State University. He was ASU's first and only Director Emeritus. Rudy was also a prolific writer, lecturer and painter. Rudy found the love of his life in his wife Wanda, to whom he was married for 51 years. Rudy is survived by Wanda and his four children, Tracy, Maria, Andrew and Jennifer and his grandchildren James, Leah, Lily, Kinsey and Kendall, all of whom adored him. Rudy was the beloved brother of Mary Ann Kovacic and the cherished nephew of Theresa Koenitzer, both of Greendale, Wisconsin. In his life, only those who did not know him failed to become Rudy's friends. He was a man who always gave more of himself than he asked of others and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
