Ronald Wunderley

Graduate Student Football Coach

Ronald Wunderley

In 1952, Ron was recruited from McKeesport High School to Arizona State University on a football scholarship. He went on to receive his master's while also serving as a Graduate Student Football Coach.

Ron served his country in the Army National Guard. He was an avid golfer, racquetball player, hunter, and all-around Sun Devil Athletics supporter.

Ron (Ronnie, Bunzo, Big Daddy, Pops, Papa) spent the summers at his cabin in Pinetop where he filled his days golfing, working, fishing, and camping; all while joking along the way. He was well known as an Industrial Arts/Mechanical Drawing teacher & coach in the Scottsdale School District for over 30 years.

Ron was inducted into the Coronado High School Hall of Fame in 2019.

Ron is survived by his wife Helen, his two daughters, and his granddaughter, as well as many loving family members.

A celebration of Ron's life will be held at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Scottsdale United Methodist Church 4140 N. Miller Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85251 Go Devils!
