Robert D. Bowman, 90, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Mi Casa Nursing Center, Mesa, AZ. He was born to Lloyd and Margaret Bowman in Marsfield. MO, March 30, 1926. He attended Sidney, NE schools, excelling in sports, enlisted in the U.S Navy (1944-1946) served aboard the USS Concord. On February 2, 1951, he married Myrna (Planck) in Sterling, CO; three children were born to this union. In 1959, they moved to Phoenix, AZ where a business was purchased, 1968 it was sold and he joined Saga Food Service (industrial food service in colleges)becoming a Food Service Director in ASU dorms until retirement in 1988. He loved music, dancing, traveling, playing pool, swimming and his family. He is survived by his wife, Myrna of 65 years, two sons, Kirt Forrest, Robert Todd, wife (Kelly) and granddaughter, Sonnie Rae, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, two brothers, two brother-in-laws, a daughter, a niece and nephew.
