Robert Hugh Archer, 72, passed away on August 7, 2015. Rob moved to Arizona when his father, Jerome Archer, became Chair of the English Department at ASU. After taking his Baccalaureate Degree at Arizona State, Rob earned his Master's Degree in English Literature at New York University. He then studied in London as a Fulbright Scholar. Upon returning to the U.S., he accepted a professorship at Texas A&M University. Two years later, he was accepted into the Ph.D. program at UCLA. Later he was a Professor of English and the Humanities at MiraCosta College in Oceanside, California. Rob is survived by his wife, Heather; a daughter, many cousins, colleagues, and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the MiraCosta College Theater. Memorial contributions may be sent to Hungry for Music http://www.hungryformusic.org.
