Richard Louis Ewer

Richard Louis Ewer enlisted in the United States Air Force following graduation. He served in the Air Force as an Airplane Mechanic from 1968-1973 during the Vietnam War. He was discharged in 1973. After returning to Hector following his military service he worked various jobs in the area.

In  January 1981 he moved to Tucson, Arizona. Rich worked for his cousin, Walter Ewer, Pima County Community College, (as an HVAC instructor) and Arizona State University (as an HVAC technician). He retired from ASU in 2019.

Rich's hobby was raising purebred chickens. He developed his love for chickens by spending time with his Uncle Claude Ewer (when he was growing up) and his cousin Leon Ewer (after moving to Tucson). Rich passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at the Peppi Hospice House in Tucson, Arizona at the age of 77 years.

Per Rich's request there will not be a celebration of life. Burial will take place at a later date in Minnesota.

Rich was preceded in death by: his wife, Cindy, on May 3, 2016, his parents, Cindy's parents, and his sister.

He is survived by; his daughter,  grandson, grandson's father, three sisters and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
