Ranay Lomonte received a scholarship right out of high school for her talents but quickly jumped into a rigorous profession of accounting soon after. She thrived in high-pressure environments and poured herself into her career, working finance first at Arbor Drugs, Ross Roy, and then finally spending a good amount of her adult life working as the Director of Fiscal and Business Operations at the Office of the Vice President for Public Affairs at Arizona State University.

Ranay is Survived by a daughter, a granddaughter,  two brothers, four sisters and sixteen nieces and nephews.

Ranay is preceded in death by a brother; her mother Nancy Giachino; and her father George (Doris) Vangel.

Her celebration of life will be in June 2025, more details will be shared by her sister Robin Harvey and daughter Kristen Buron.
