Peter J. Miller,74, of Phoenix, AZ, died peacefully at home on May 30, 2010 after a courageous battle against a rare bone marrow disease. Pete was an Engineer with General Dynamics, a Professor of Business at ASU, and the President of his own software company. He and his family moved to Phoenix in 1972. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Helen, and their three children, Thomas and wife Pamela of Seattle WA, Daniel of Garberville CA, Kathryn and husband Chuck Maddox of San Francisco CA, and God-daughter Lorrie and husband Joe Doria of Seattle Wa; six grandchildren Alex, Sierra, Nate, Rylie, Helena and Violet; brother Frank of San Francisco, CA, and sister Margy Henry of Escondido, CA. Pete was active in Christ Church-Lutheran, in the Lutheran Cursillo movement, in Scouting, and in several professional organizations. He loved outdoor activities, especially tennis and skiing.
