Patrick Leslie Coffinger served as a Navy Signalman on the USS Wasp during the Korean War.

After the War, Pat attended Arizona State University, earning his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Education. Upon graduation, he became a dedicated and versatile teacher with Tempe Elementary Schools.

A lifelong ASU fan, Pat served for years as a Board Member and President of the Sun Devil booster Club. He coordinated and hosted events for coaches, athletic staff, and thousands of student-athletes and their families. Pat served as Director for Camp Tontozona as a young adult, much to the delight of his children.

Pat "Poppy" is survived by his two children; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
