Patricia Kennedy Comfort, 68, passed away on August 22, 2014. Pat obtained a PhD in childhood education from the University of Minnesota. After some research-oriented positions in Minnesota, California, and at ASU, Pat established her own practice as a clinical psychologist, working primarily with learning-disabled children at the New Way Learning Academy in Scottsdale. She also had a broad range of national and international clients. Pat is survived by her husband Joseph, two children, six grand-children and three siblings. A funeral and memorial service will be held in the Fall, with inurnment at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Tempe. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to New Way, the Banner Alzheimer Institute in Phoenix, and to the Tempe Day Care Center of the Foundation for Senior Living.
