Norma Ruth Barer, 88, passed away on October 7, 2015. A graduate of ASU, (B.A. and M.A.), Norma choreographed dozens of musical productions within the Phoenix community and at Scottsdale High. She worked as a counselor at Scottsdale High until its closing and taught in the Scottsdale School District until retiring in 2008. Norma served on the faculty at ASU. She also served the National Spasmodic Dysphonia Foundation as a Board Member. Norma leaves behind a daughter, three granddaughters and six great-grandchildren. Norma was preceded in death by husband Phillip Barer and a daughter. A graveside service was held October 11 at Green Acres Cemetery, Scottsdale, AZ.
