Nancy Lorraine List, 73, died October 14, 2013. After her marriage to Lt. Col. William K. Harding, she was employed by Aerojet-General in Sacramento, Calif., as a specifications typist for the Polaris and Minuteman missile program. When stationed in Arizona, she was a secretary for the Division of Technology at ASU and the Base Procurement Office at Williams AFB, Ariz. Moving to Brookville in 1975 she then worked at DeMans and later Clarion University as the secretary for the Chairperson for the Department of Accountancy. She later accepted a position at Wyeth/Ayerst Pharmaceutical at Radnor, as the secretary for a Project Manager in the Marketing Department. She returned to Brookville, PA, and held several local jobs including the Jefferson County History Center until her retirement. She was a member of the Clarion Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution being a direct descendent of Jacob Broom, signer of the U.S. Constitution for the State of Delaware. She completed the Dental Assistant Course from Wayne School and also a Real Estate License for Pennsylvania. She is survived by a son, a  daughter, two grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, one step great grandchild, a sister and a nephew. She was preceded in death by a sister. Her family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. this evening (Wednesday) and from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the Furlong Funeral Home, Gregory K. Furlong FD, corner of Broad St. and First Ave., Summerville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Brookville Cemetery, Rose Township, Jefferson County. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Jefferson County History Center, Rebecca Arthurs Library or the Summerville United Methodist Church. (Source: ASU Foundation)
