Nancy A. Kelley

Nancy A. Kelley, 81, died on August 10, 2014. She was predeceased by her parents, a sister and infant brothers. Nancy is survived by her sister and many cousins and friends. Nancy received her B.S. in Nursing from Nazareth College and her M.S. in Nursing Education from the University of Rochester. She began her nursing career at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, and later became a Public Health Nurse (which included school nursing) for Monroe County. While working for Public Health, she joined the Naval Reserve where she served for three years. As a Naval Reserve Officer, she worked in the Intensive Care Unit at St. Alban's Naval Hospital and aboard the U.S.S Geiger during summer tours of duty. Nancy's career involved teaching at South Dakota StateUniversity, ASU, Finger Lakes Community College, St. Anselm's College, and the University of Buffalo. Nancy served on the South Dakota State Nursing Board. She completed her nursing services as the Director of Patient Services for the Seneca County Department of Health. and on the Board of Directors for the Red Cross of Seneca County. Friends are invited to call Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at White Chapel Funeral Home, 197 South St. Auburn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. Alphonsus Church, Auburn, NY. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fleming.
