Mary Edith Rushton, 72, passed away on September 10, 2016. In 1966 she graduated from St. Hilda's College (U of T) with a degree in anthropology and a scholarship for further study at the University of New Mexico, receiving a MA degree and later teaching at the UNM Branch in Gallup. After she and her husband, Ted, moved to Phoenix in 1972 she switched to mathematics and in 1976 began working on computers at ASU. She retired in 2014. Services were private. Her body was donated to Science Care. She had no children. She is survived by Ted, and Col. Ross McKenzie.
