Martin Vanacour, 74, passed away on September 11, 2016. Martin graduated from SUNY Buffalo with a Bachelor's in Public Administration and went on to get his Master's degree at NYU and his PhD from ASU. He served the City of Glendale for more than 30 years, including as City Manager for more than 15 years. He was also a professor and taught in the School of Public Affairs at ASU and the University of Phoenix. Martin is survived by his wife, Joyce Vanacour, a daughter, son and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister.
