Mark Henderson retired from The Polytechnic School (Engineering) and as Associate Dean of Barrett Honors College in 2019 after 35 years at ASU. His original research area was computer-aided design that morphed into design for global development. He now serves as Board President of Global Resolve, a multi-campus social entrepreneurship program in Barrett Honors College where teams of students and faculty help create sustainable communities in the developing world. He is a member of the advisory board of the Maasai Education, Research and Conservation Institute in Kenya. Henderson’s wife, Sue, also retired from ASU in 2019 as an Academic Advisor in Engineering. Their three grown children, Erin, Ben and Abby, collectively have 5 degrees from ASU.
