Maria Dolores Koch, 92, passed away on April 22, 2014. She was born in Barcelona, Spain, and attended the Barcelona Conservatory of Music until the Spanish Civil War started in 1936. While living in the Phoenix area, Dolores worked as a baker for Longview Elementary School in the Osborn School District and on ASU's main campus for Marriott Food Services. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Max Robert Koch. She is survived by two daughters, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren and her canine companion, Patas. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the North Shore Animal League and the Humane Society of the United States. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday April 28, 2014 at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4715 N. Central Ave., Phoenix, AZ. Internment to immediately follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
