Lyle Milton Vollstedt, 90, passed away on December 28, 2010. Lyle was a veteran of World War II having served on a Naval mine sweeper, the USS Phoebe, from 1943-1945. Lyle and his wife Norma moved from Portland, Oregon, to Phoenix, Arizona, in 1991, to be with their daughter, Linda who was the women's golf coach at ASU from 1980-2001. Preceded in death by his son, Billy, he is survived by his wife of 70 years, Norma, two children, a brother and two grandchildren.
