Loretta “Jane” Richards, 87, passed away August 14, 2018. Jane obtained an Aviation Secretarial Degree at Thiel College in Greenville, PA. After graduation she went to Washington, D.C. to work for the government in the offices of the Marshall Plan. In the sixties, Jane was again involved in government work in Arizona after attending Grand Canyon College. For 32 years Jane worked with the Arizona State Legislature, which included serving as Chief Clerk of Arizona - House of Representatives for 17 years. For 18 years Jane worked doing stats for ASU football, Fiesta Bowl and the Phoenix Suns. She was preceded in death by a son and her husband Philip (Flip). She is survived by two sons, two daughters, nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandsons, many nieces and nephews and three siblings. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 8 at 11am in the Kachina Ball Room at Sun Village Community Center, 14300 W. Bell Rd., Surprise 85374 - followed by a reception in the Residents' Lounge. Memorial contributions in Jane's honor may be made to Rainbow Acres -2120 W.
