Lois Jane Ramias

Lois Jane Ramias earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry and biology from the University of Wisconsin. 

Lois' work in biomedical research led to roles at prestigious institutions including Northwestern Medical School, Abbott Laboratories, Arizona State University, and St. Joseph's Medical Center. 

She coauthored a dozen published studies, presented at national science conferences, and earned numerous awards for her achievements.

Lois was committed to civic duty, participating in events advocating for environmental stewardship, supporting women's mental health, and donating to disabled veterans' services.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Margaret Oestreich, and her two brothers.

She is survived by her three children; her two grandchildren; her four siblings and numerous extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 2pm at Snow Hill Cemetery, followed immediately by a celebration of life at Merrill Town Hall.
