Llewellyn "Llew" Donald Howell, Jr., died October 21, 2021. Llew was a graduate of SUNY Brockport. He joined the Peace Corps after graduation, serving in Malaysia, and upon returning to the U.S. received his Ph.D. in International Relations from Syracuse University. He taught at the University of Hawaii and the American University in Washington, DC.



Llew retired from his academic life as professor emeritus of International Management at Thunderbird School of Global Management and emeritus affiliate at ASU. While at Thunderbird he served as Department Chair of International Studies and Vice-President of Overseas Programs.



Llew is survived by his wife, Suzy Howell, a son, and granddaughter. In Llew's memory the family suggests gifts to the Lew-Port Class of 1958 Scholarship Fund. For information contact Ed Engle, class treasure, via edannengel@gmail.com . (Source: ASU Foundation)
