Campus Minister to Disciples of Christ students

Larry L. Kimberlin attended the University of Arizona, graduating in 1954 with a BA and a commission in the U.S. Army Reserves. He completed graduate work at Yale University Divinity School. He did student ministries in New Haven, Connecticut and Marana, Arizona. He was ordained to Christian ministry in 1957 at First Christian Church in Tucson.
Subsequent to ordination he served as a local pastor in Tucson and Tempe and a number of churches in Southern Arizona including Wilcox, Tombstone and Bisbee. He served for a time as a campus minister to Disciples of Christ students at Arizona State University.
In Tempe he taught religious courses for credit on the campus. He also serviced as national Executive Director of the Christian Dental Society. After retirement he did volunteer ministries in First Christian and First Congregational Churches in Tucson.
He was predeceased by his parents and his brother.
He is survived by his sister, his sister-in-law by four nephews and niece. He is also survived by a number of great nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held on April 9, 2026.
A memorial service will be held at First Christian Church, Tucson at a later date.
