Kathryn M. Harris, Professor Emeritus of English, passed away May 5, 2015 at the age of 73. She received her BA and MA in English from ASU and joined the Department of English faculty in 1965. In 1980 she developed and supervised Writing for the Professions, an upper-division program in expository writing. She worked extensively as a consultant in writing for engineering firms, private research agencies, hospital corporations, the Superior Court of Arizona, and local justice courts. She was named Assistant Chair for the Department of English in 1990. She retired from ASU in 2004. In 2005 she received her PhD in Victorian literature from UofA. Kathryn is survived by two children and one grandson.
