In January of 1981, Joan "Jo" Marie Faldtz moved to Mesa, Arizona. She began working at Arizona State University in September 1986. Jo worked at College of Business and School of International Letter and Cultures (SILC) during her time at ASU.  She retired in March, 2017.

Jo was a very caring and loving wife and mother to Jim and Alicia. Her hobby and passion were cooking and entertaining. She loved hosting and cooking for all the holidays and loved spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed cruising on various destinations.

A celebration of life for Jo was held on October 8, 2022. There will also be a service in Lincoln, Nebraska the first of next year

Joan is survived by her husband, Jim Faldtz, and daughter.
