She was born and raised in Yang Mei, Taiwan, and immigrated to the United States in 1967.

She received her master's degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at Auburn University in 1969. She held a variety of jobs at Schering Pharmaceuticals, Prudential Insurance, and Arizona State University.

She enjoyed writing and started up "Seeker" magazine for Greater Phoenix Chinese Christian Church. She had an adventurous heart, traveling to Israel, China, Central America and Europe. 

She is survived by her husband Chia of 51 years, her son, her daughter, and her five grandchildren. 

A private Celebration of Life will be held for close family and friends.
