James W. Bell, 86, passed away on July 22, 2015. Jim received his undergraduate degree from Washburn University in Topeka; his Master's and Doctorate in Education at Kansas University in Lawrence. He joined the Air Force during the Korean War and served four years in Special Services at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. After being honorably discharged, he returned to Kansas for a teaching position at Emporia State Teachers College. In 1966, he moved to Tempe to become a Professor in the College of Education at ASU where he taught for the next 25 years, retiring in 1990. Jim is survived by his wife, Marian, four daughters, four grandchildren and  two great grandchildren. A celebration of Jim's life will be held at 11AM Friday, August 7th, at Mountain View Lutheran Church, 11002 S. 48th St, Phoenix 85044.
