She attended the University of Utah and was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. She graduated Magna cum laude in 1955 with a BS in business and was a member of Phi Kappa Phi.

After graduation, she worked in Los Angeles, CA for 3 years before returning to Utah and working for G. Homer Durham, the academic vice president at the "U." In 1960, she moved to Arizona when he became the president of Arizona State University and continued working for him until her husband graduated from ASU.

Jackie is survived by her husband of 61 years and her 5 children.. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and a granddaughter.

Funeral services were held on October 22, 2022.
