George James Jeffers
ASU Graduate School of Education
Dr. George James Jeffers received his bachelor's degree from St. John's University, his master's degree from Fordham University, and his doctorate from St. John's University. George went on to be the superintendent of schools at South Orangetown, and Middle Country Central School Districts in New York, followed by San Juan Unified Central School District in Sacramento, California, next he became a professor at New Mexico State University Graduate School of Education, then Arizona State University Graduate School of Education. He also served as a Program Coordinator for ASU's Lifelong Learning Programs. He also served on the Board of Dysart Education Foundation in Surprise, Arizona. George is survived by his wife Fran, his two sons, a daughter-in-law, his four grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, close friends, relatives, and coworkers. A memorial service was held on May 20, 2023. Instead of sending flowers, the family asks you to donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital . |
