George William (Bill) Atkinson, 79, died on September 7, 2018. He attended Slippery State College for two years and JBEW Apprentice School for four years. In 1974 Bill moved his family to Mesa, Arizona because of his son's health. He worked as a maintenance electrician at ASU for 23 years, the last 12 years as lead electrician with the Tele-Communications Department. He retired in 1997. Bill was preceded in death by a son. He is survived by his wife, Carol, two sons, six grandchildren, three great-granddaughters and two brothers. A Celebration of Bill's life was held on Saturday, September 22, at Green Valley Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, please send a contribution to your favorite charity in Bill's memory.
