Frank L. Nageotte, 89, passed away on October 1, 2015. He was the former chairman and chief executive officer of Greyhound Lines, Inc. Frank spent his entire professional career with Greyhound, starting as a secretary in the bus business and retiring as both president/chief operating officer of the diversified company that became The Greyhound Corporation and chairman/CEO of Greyhound Lines. Miles College in Birmingham, AL awarded him an honorary doctorate of humane letters in 1981 for his efforts to hire and promote African American employees. In recognition of his executive leadership, Arizona Gov. Jane Hull appointed him to a board that reviewed the financial and business practices of the state corrections department. He also served on various other corporate boards during his career with Greyhound and after retirement. He remained active throughout his life in many charitable and volunteer endeavors. He served on a number of those boards and also as chairman of capital campaigns for Phoenix Baptist Hospital, the Foundation for Blind Children, and All Saints Newman Center at ASU. Frank is survived by his wife, Kathleen, and their nine children, two brothers, 21 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. A Funeral Mass was held on October 21, 2015 at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 6261 N. Granite Reef Road, Scottsdale.
