Floyd Leon Lowe lived a life marked by his unwavering commitment to law enforcement. Floyd's illustrious career in law enforcement spanned 37 years, during which he rose through the ranks with integrity and determination. He began as an Officer with the Glendale Police Department, where his dedication and hard work led him to the positions of Captain, Police Chief at the Eagar Police Department, Police Chief at Estrella Mountain Community College, Chief at Avondale Police Department, and Chief at ASU West. In addition to his service, he inspired the next generation as a professor of law enforcement at Glendale Community College, sharing his knowledge and passion with countless students. A proud veteran, Floyd served in the Army from June 20, 1960, to June 19, 1962, attaining the rank of E-3. This chapter of his life was a testament to his loyalty and sense of duty, qualities that he carried with him throughout his personal and professional journeys. Floyd is survived by his loving wife, Debra Lowe; his sister; and his cherished children: fours daughter and three son-in-laws; and a son. He took immense pride in his extended family, which included numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. Floyd was preceded in death by his parent's Henry and Ora Lowe; his two brothers and his two sisters. A memorial service honoring Floyd's extraordinary life took place on October 30, 2025. |
