Florence graduated from Central Catholic High School in Canton in 1952. Flo lived in multiple states across the United States and also resided in Misawa, Japan in the mid-1960's.

For nearly two decades, Flo administered the campus telephone system located in the historic Old Main building at Arizona State University.

Flo was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eldred A. Grass (2017), her three sisters and stepdaughter. She is survived by two daughters, two sons, a step-daughter, two step-sons, twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass was held on March 4d in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 7655 E. Main St., Scottsdale, AZ.
