Well, I made it to September without melting and I don’t care how dry it was, this past summer was a scorcher. The following is a request with a very short timeline for grant reviewers.

Request for grant reviewers

The Governor's Office of Youth, Faith and Family (GOYFF) is currently in an active solicitation for the STOP Violence Against Women Formula Grant and is seeking individuals who would be interested and available to volunteer as a grant reviewer.

GOUFF feels this will be a very competitive solicitation and will need at least 20 volunteer grant reviewers.

Please note the following key components and dates of the review process:

Key components of the grant review:

• The Request for Grant Application (RFGA) closes October 6, 2023 applications will be separated based on geographic area.
• Each reviewer group will have 10 to 15 applications to review in a 4-week period. Scores will then be averaged to determine funding eligibility.
• Reviewers will participate in the following meetings: a mock review; grant reviewer training; and a consensus meeting.
• All grant reviewers will be required to sign a procurement disclosure statement to establish any conflicts of interest with applicants. 

Key dates:

• Mock Review period:  Tuesday, September 12, 2023 through Friday, September 16, 2023. (If applicable)
• Mock Review Scoresheet submitted by Friday, September 16, 2023 at 12:00 pm. (If applicable)
• Virtual Reviewer Training conducted Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 1pm.
• Reviewers will receive grant applications once procurement disclosure statement is received.
• 1st half of grant reviewer scores due Wednesday, October 25, 2023.
• 2nd half of grant reviewer scores due Wednesday, November 15, 2023.
• Virtual Consensus Meeting Friday, November 17, 2023.

How to volunteer

If you would like to volunteer complete the application form. Note that the first activity is scheduled for Tuesday, September 12. Further note that the application form is a Google document and you will be asked to sign into Google using any Gmail account you may have. If you do not have a Gmail account you can create one for free.
