Just a short E-News this month; but there are a couple of items I wanted you to know about.

Update on Office Move - Boxing Day

Last Tuesday fourteen volunteers (Maria Hesse, Kay Faris, Linda Van Scoy, Connie McNeill, Karen Moses, Bev Buddee, Carl Cross, Paul Skiera, Don Doerres, Richard Knopf, Elmer Gooding. Jeannette Robson, Trudy Perez and I) gathered to box up what was to be moved to the new office next Monday. And there was a boatload of stuff to move. For example, we are moving the:

  • contents of five or six cabinets
  • workroom and reception area computer, printer, cords
  • furniture we want to continue to use
  • video history recording studio with its cameras, lights, monitors, background, etc.
  • much of the contents in a couple of storage closets
  • pictures, plaques, etc. on the walls and
  • more.

Amazingly, within about two hours most of the desired items had been boxed and labeled ready to be moved. There are still some items to box which the Office Volunteers will do this week.

Changing Futures

Michael Crow prepared a video addressing the role universities and ASU in particular must pursue, given the changing futures. After viewing the video, I felt very proud to be part of ASU and have Michael Crow be its President. I encourage you to view the video at Changing Futures and form your own opinion.
