Donald Lee Ellis, Sr., 90, passed away June 28, 2012. Don graduated from Arizona State Teachers' College in 1944. He taught history at Gilbert High School, Phoenix Union High School and for over twenty years at Mesa Community College. Don also assisted coaches at ASU with the recruitment of athletes. Don is survived by his wife Marvene Zoe Shill Ellis, two sons, a daughter and three grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by his brother.
