Denise A. Scammon, 70, passed away on September 1, 2021. She met and marriedJohn Scammon while attending California State University Northridge (M.A., German, summa cum laude, 1975). They moved to Arizona where she attended the now Sandra O'Day College of Law (J.D., 1992). She was Associate Editor of ASU Law Journal (1990-1992); admitted to Arizona State Bar 1992; admitted to U.S. District Court for District of Arizona 1992. In recent years she worked as Judge Pro Tem for the Scottsdale, El Mirage and Cave Creek Court Houses. Denise was fluent in German and conversational with French and Spanish.



Denise is survived by her husband John Scammon, her mother two sisters and her husband's sister. A memorial will be announced at a future date. (Source: ASU Foundation)
