David M. Childers, 80, passed away on February 20, 2011. David was a graduate of ASU and continued his education with extensive graduate studies in Immunopathology at UCLA and BioNuclear Medicine at Hahnemann Medical College. David worked in numerous blood banks, hospitals and laboratories during his distinguished career, including: Director of the School of Medical Technology at ASU/Good Samaritan Hospital, Clinical Lab Instructor for Maricopa Technical College, Director of Quality Assurance for Blood Services, Inc., Chief Chemist Laboratory Director for Laboratory Procedures (Upjohn Company) and Pathology Department Head at St. Joseph Hospital in Reading, PA plus others. David also used his expertise in blood forensics for various governmental agencies within the state of AZ. He taught at Universities and was a regular scheduled lecturer at many medical institutions. David is survived by his wife Jane, three children, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
