Daniel Kevin Burke (Kevin) grew up and lived in Tempe, Arizona where he worked at ASU in their recreation department. 

He was an ASU graduate in outdoor and therapeutic recreation. Kevin inspired and enabled physically and mentally disabled children to be active and fulfill their own potential, though he resisted any description of himself as disabled from his own childhood stroke. 

He leaves behind lifelong friends, beloved dog Phoenix, and two siblings.
