Corey was a graduate of both the University of Alberta (Bachelor of Physical Education) and Arizona State University (Master of Education).

Corey's career was dedicated to public service – first in Community Health for Capital Health, then at Family & Community Services for Strathcona County, and finally in Admissions for Arizona State University.  

Corey is survived by her husband, Rob, and her daughter, her father, her brother and her sister. Corey was predeceased by her mother.

A Celebration of Life for Corey was held on July 16th.
