Carolyn Sarah Cox Biggs attended Brigham Young University but earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University and later a master's degree from Northern Arizona University, graduating with honors as a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.

She served in her church callings without hesitation as a Relief society president, primary chorister, activities chairman, and her latest job was teaching the 7 year old children who loved her dearly.

She started as a substitute teacher but soon was hired full time becoming Arizona's first female full time Seminary teacher. Up until her death, wherever she went, former students would come up to her and tell her how much she changed their life, or how much they loved her class.

She served a mission with her husband teaching seminary and institute in McAllen, Texas. They later served in the Mesa Arizona Temple. She continued to serve the youth teaching at ASU Institute of religion, and then the Gilbert Temple.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Darrel Biggs; her daughter, her daughter-in-law, her grandson, and her parents, Maxwell Bruce and Ruth Cox.

She leaves behind a large and loving posterity, 7 children, 29 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.

Services were held on June 22, 2026.
