Carol Linnea Moore attended college at Northwestern University and California State University. While attending Northwestern, Carol was a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority. During her junior year, she attended a fun summer semester in Honolulu, Hawaii,

With a life-long love of learning, Carol graduated from Northwestern University with a B.S. in Secondary Education. Carol was also the first member of the family to letter in a sport: volleyball. Additionally, Carol received a M.A. degree in history from California State University, Fresno and at age 57, Carol earned a Master of Library Science degree from the University of Arizona.

Carol taught 7th grade geography in Fresno and later worked at Wells Fargo Bank History Room in San Francisco. She moved to Arizona in 1965, where Carol taught economics and American history and government at South Mountain High School in Phoenix.

Carol resigned from teaching to become a stay-at-home mom. When Steve and Dan got older, Carol rejoined the workforce. She started as a volunteer and was later hired as an employee at the Tempe Historical Museum.

Thereafter, she spent 18 years working in the Department of Archives and Special Collections at the Arizona State University Hayden Library. She retired in 2003 and became a volunteer at the Arizona State University Retirees Association (ASURA) office where she was active with the Salt River Alumnae Panhellenic Association.

Carol was a kind, beautiful, intelligent woman who greatly enjoyed serving others and spending time with family. Prior to losing her vision, she loved reading, learning, traveling, playing the piano, wine tasting, snow skiing, volunteering, and attending events of her children and grandchildren. She also loved tailgating and attending the ASU baseball, softball, and football games with Rod and their close friends. Carol will lovingly be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit and the lasting legacy of love and family.

She is survived by her husband, Rod Moore; two sons, six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life for Carol will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chandler Nature Center: 4050 E. Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, Arizona 85249
