Carl Wallen, 82, passed away on February 27, 2014. Carl started his career as an elementary school teacher in Hayward California and went on to receive his doctorate in Education at Stanford University in 1962. Carl then served as a faculty member at Oregon State University and the University of Oregon. In 1973 he moved to ASU where he served as the Chairman of the Department of Elementary Education. Carl is survived by LaDonna Leigh Wallen, his wife of 53 years, three sons, six grandchildren and a sister. Services will be March 28, 6pm at Skirm Auditorium, Friendship Village, 2645 E.
